| "Restoration"
On Its Way |
| There is an old principle in the fine arts, namely in
painting and building. Destruction and Reconstruction. When one could
still take a stroll by the river, during the first weeks of restoration
works in the fall of 2006, people passing by did not really know what
was going on. Learning about restoration, they did not find any reason
for that kind of endeavor. They did not understand why trees ans
shrubs had to come down for the sake of environmentally important
progress. |
At the start,
all types of plants had to make way for the space needed for
destruction works like the removal of the walkway, thus being able to
cut off the rim of the river's southern bank.

Many a fine tree or shrub got a mark on their stems thus defining their future - firewood.
